In our favourite mid-weight wool gabardine, these are neither too light, nor too heavy, and are cut with forward-facing pleats, jetted side pockets for a clean line through the hips and a soft grown-on waistband, similar to the waistband on our Hollywood trousers. Finished with a strap-and-buckle cinch and a nod to a fishtail back, these are timeless and elegant in equal measure.
In olive, these are a versatile investment, and work well with navy, brown and beige tailoring. Wear on their own with dark braces and our hidden-button down shirts in chambray or plain white, or pair with a lightweight checked sports coat in wool and silk. Alternatively, try these with a low-buttoning double-breasted linen jacket for a louche warm weather look.
Like our 1970s inspired parallels these generous drape-cut trousers are a new design for the Spring/Summer season that nods to our rock and roll heritage. Edward used to cut wide-leg Oxford bags for a mixture of musicians, models and rockstars at Nutter’s of Savile Row, and these drape cut trousers offer a contemporary take on that classic style. With a high-rise to sit on the wearer’s natural waist these are designed to fall elegantly from the hips, and bring a wonderful sense of movement to wearer as he walks.
