For autumn/winter ’17, Edward Sexton is consolidating its tie collection. Our seven-fold ties continue to offer the height of luxury, handmade in rich tussah cloths by traditional Milanese tie-maker Bigi Cravatte. A tight capsule of plains, spots and stripes in classic colours, these ties are long-term wardrobe investments designed to stand the test of time.
Our seasonal collection makes use of earthy, textured fabrics that create modern, understated neckties. These are made in a traditional three-fold construction, slip-stitched and hand-tacked in Italy. These ties are designed to combine a tactile, full-bodied handle with autumnal patterns and colours, enabling customers to inject a subtle sense of seasonality into their tailored wardrobes.
With this in mind, texture is hugely important in our collection of ties. Playing with texture and with earthy colours is the most sophisticated way to create a contemporary tailored look – something that feels sharp and current, but which still channels that signature Sexton touch of nostalgia.
