Navy Boiled Control Jacket
Description
A rich, textured take on Sexton’s relaxed Control Jacket. The boiled wool cloth is a deep purply navy, with subtle red tones showing through from the reverse, giving warmth and depth to the colour. Substantial enough to wear as an outer layer, it’s cut in a loose, boxy shape inspired by workwear but refined for modern use. Finished with three external patch pockets, two in-breast pockets, and a one-button cuff, it’s comfortable, versatile, and quietly dramatic - a casual layer with unmistakable Sexton attitude.
About the block
Relaxed, refined, and quietly revolutionary - the Control Jacket takes its inspiration from the draped jackets Edward was cutting in the nineteen-fifties and brings them firmly into the present. The straight cut and incredibly soft shoulder - completely unpadded - give it an ease and freedom of movement that feels unlike any structured jacket, while the minimal canvas keeps it light and close to the body. The generous retro collar and notch lapel, three-button front fastening, and square front edge give it a clean, considered silhouette with a hint of vintage character. Two generous lower patch pockets with a subtle swooping curved flap, one outer breast pocket, and two internal breast pockets make it as practical as it is elegant. Quarter-lined, with a 6½" side vent and no centre back seam - a jacket that feels modern, easy, and effortlessly cool from the moment you put it on.
