A sharp notch-lapel jacket cut in Sexton’s contemporary line. The Barolo flannel gives it presence, the melange of near-black and glowing reds making it versatile enough for day wear yet rich enough for evening. Elegant as part of the suit, striking on its own with black or earthy-toned trousers.

Notched lapels can look handsome too, particularly on business suits or sports jackets, which can afford to be a little more understated. We eschew slim lapels, whether peaked or notched, in favour of generous shapes that reinforce an hourglass silhouette. Adding a second button to a single-breasted jacket likewise softens its impact, but is nonetheless extremely elegant and can help to balance the slightly shorter, squarer proportions of notched lapels.

High-waisted and fuller through the leg, the classic trouser grounds the Barolo cloth with balance and flow. The warm reds within the dark base give the trousers subtle distinction, making them easy to wear with the matching jacket or with a dark blazer for evening.

Our classic gentlemen’s trouser developed in 2023 is clean and close around the top but fuller through the knee and hem. This trouser is both comfortable and timelessly elegant, and with its 2” waistband with a long extension and side adjusters, it sits beautifully on an elegant shoe or rests naturally on a trainer.
