Navy Herringbone Low Double-Breasted Suit

£1,850.00
Description

A classic navy and lifts it with texture and depth. Dark navy threads are crossed with lighter flecks in a subtle herringbone, giving the cloth a mottled, almost graphic quality. The low double-breasted jacket nods to the glamour of the 1930s, while the fuller classic trouser balances the line with ease. Formal enough for the most conservative settings, yet far from uniform, it’s an elegant navy suit with presence.

Jacket Description

Cut with a low fastening and sweeping peak lapels, this double-breasted jacket draws on the elegance of 1930s tailoring. The navy herringbone cloth brings texture and depth, keeping the look refined yet distinctive. Dark, fluid, and assured, it makes a subtle statement without breaking formality.

Jacket Block

The low Double-Breasted Jacket fastens at the hip, which has its roots in the 1930s and ‘40s, seen in films that Edward long admired like Casablanca, and this too relies on the delicate balancing of proportions. The lower buttoning point and subtly extended shoulder-line focuses the eyes on the shoulder and hip rather than accentuating the waist. This creates a louche, masculine and fluid silhouette. We cut these jackets slightly looser in the body and without rear vents, true to their art deco archetypes.
