Cut in smooth 100% wool with a soft handle, the 270g cloth is light, breathable, and crease-resistant, making it practical as well as refined. The jacket carries Sexton’s strong shoulder and sweeping, low double-breasted line, opening the chest for a relaxed yet architectural silhouette. Finished with silk grosgrain facings, matching covered buttons, jetted pockets with grosgrain jets, and no vents, it is true to dinner jacket tradition. Sleek, chic, and enduringly elegant, it pairs effortlessly with Sexton dress trousers and shirts for formal occasions.
About the block
The Low Double-Breasted Jacket fastens at the hip, which has its roots in the 1930s and ‘40s, seen in films that Edward long admired like Casablanca. This style too relies on the delicate balancing of proportions. The lower buttoning point and subtly extended shoulder line focus the eyes on the shoulder and hip rather than accentuating the waist. This creates a louche, masculine, and fluid silhouette. We cut these jackets slightly looser in the body and without rear vents, true to their Art Deco archetypes.

This option allows you to order an out of stock garment to be created for you specially - without changes to measurements or style. This service is predominantly for existing customers who are familiar with how our garments fit, but require a size that is unavailable or sold out in store.
Standard make time for Made to Order garments is 6-8 weeks, though express options and associated fees are available. For express items, please contact the team.
Made to Measure garments are priced slightly higher than Made to Order and will require a consultation with one of our team. Existing customers can just email us to order a made to measure garment.
