£1,400.00 £2,000.00
Description

Tailoring with scale and drama. This suit is cut from a 380g Donegal flannel woven in beige with flecks of brown, terracotta, and ochre. The low double-breasted jacket is paired with Sexton’s Oxford bags, wide trousers that move with flow and presence. The result is bold yet elegant, combining vintage glamour with a rich autumnal palette.

Jacket Description

It works as part of a suit, or as a separate with dark trousers or denim, making a versatile and refined statement.

Jacket Block

The low Double-Breasted Jacket fastens at the hip, which has its roots in the 1930s and ‘40s, seen in films that Edward long admired like Casablanca, and this too relies on the delicate balancing of proportions. The lower buttoning point and subtly extended shoulder-line focuses the eyes on the shoulder and hip rather than accentuating the waist. This creates a louche, masculine and fluid silhouette. We cut these jackets slightly looser in the body and without rear vents, true to their art deco archetypes.

Trouser Description

Wide, flowing trousers cut in a flecked Donegal flannel. The beige ground is lifted by autumnal tones of brown, terracotta, and ochre, giving richness and depth. The generous cut amplifies the texture, creating a trouser with striking presence, equally effective as part of a suit or on its own.

• Double jet hip pocket on the right with hole and button
• 1.5” waistband
• Sexton pistol-shaped side adjusters
• 2” turn-up
• Inlay to let out the waist up to 2”
• Inlay to let out the fork 1”
• 2" of inlay in the hem to lengthen the trousers.

Trouser Block

With roots dating back to the 1920's these trousers began life as a comfortable garment for students of Oxford university, before finding their place as a staple in 40's swing dance halls, and again in 1970's soul movements. With heritage running through from old school university wealth to dance and music, these trousers are truly a little piece of history.
