How does the gift card work?
Buy the gift card online and you will receive a personal code by email, which you can give to your recipient. They use the code to book a consultation with our experts on Savile Row, and the card is redeemed once the consultation has taken place. If they choose a higher band or an extra piece, they pay only the difference.

How does my recipient redeem it?
They follow the booking link in their gift card email, enter their code and choose a time. We will confirm the appointment.

What happens at the consultation?
We discuss what they need, take measurements and help them choose cloth and styling. There is no pressure to decide quickly. 

What is made-to-measure?
Made-to-measure adjusts one of our ready-to-wear patterns to your recipient’s measurements, in a cloth of their choice. The jacket has a pre-made full floating canvas, the collar and sleeves are set by machine, and the lapels and pocket flaps are top-stitched by hand. There is one final fitting to make any small adjustments. Allow four to five weeks from the consultation. It suits clients who like our ready-to-wear tailoring but want to choose their cloth or make small changes to the fit, such as jacket length and waist size.

What is bespoke?
Bespoke is a suit made for one person from a paper pattern drafted by hand from scratch. The jacket has a full floating canvas, hand-padded and cut to the pattern. The collar and sleeves are set by hand, and the suit is finished by hand, including the top-stitching and buttonholes. It is made in our Savile Row workrooms and fitted across at least three fittings: baste, forward and final. Allow around two months from the consultation. It is for clients who want the very best tailoring we offer, a handmade suit designed around their needs and figure.

Does my recipient need to visit in person?
Consultations take place in-store. Virtual consultations are available for shirts. Please check this works for your recipient before buying.

Can they upgrade or add extra items?
Yes. They can upgrade cloth, or add garments and pay the difference at the consultation or when ordering. Our cloths are grouped into price bands. Your card covers any cloth in its band or lower. Your recipient can choose a higher-band cloth and pay the difference.

What if they can’t make the appointment?
They can reschedule free of charge with at least 48 hours notice. A missed appointment does not cancel the card.

Does the card expire?
Cards are valid for 12 months from purchase.

Can I get a refund?
Cards can be refunded before a consultation has been booked. Because every garment is made to order, refunds are not available after the consultation has taken place. Before then, the card can be transferred to another recipient.

What if the garment doesn’t fit perfectly?
We aim to get the fit right through the fitting process, and will make adjustments at no extra charge within 2 weeks.
