Nostalgic, relaxed, and a little bit glamorous. The Drape Jacket is where Edward Sexton's soft tailoring heritage meets a cloth with genuine personality - wider shoulders, soft construction, real roll and drape through the chest, two-button fastening, no ticket pocket, side vents. In this dark chocolate and cream broad chalkstripe linen blend, with its high-contrast inch-wide stripes, the whole thing has a louche summer ease that still means business. Pair with the Heritage Trousers in the same cloth for the full suit.
About the block
The Drape Jacket is inspired by the slightly softer and rounder jackets Edward first cut at Kilgour in the 1960s. Subtly extended shoulders with soft pads and a rich chest contribute to a jacket feeling supremely comfortable. We like to cut Drape Jackets in smooth gabardine, plush corduroy and heavy Irish linen – cloths that will change the character and improve with age. We also add a second button to our Drape Jackets to help balance their generous chest and shoulder line.
Cloth information
A lightweight linen-cotton blend with a soft, relaxed handle and a bold statement — dark chocolate ground with cream chalkstripes spaced around an inch apart for high-contrast drama. The linen keeps it cool and easy through the warmer months; the cotton adds just enough body to hold its shape. 57% Linen, 40% Cotton, 3% Elastane. 260g.

Made to order garments are based on our ready to wear garment measurements, as seen on our size guide. This option allows you to order an out of stock garment to be created for you specially - without changes to measurements or style. This service is predominantly for existing customers who are familiar with how our garments fit, but require a size that is unavailable or sold out in store.
Standard make time for Made to Order garments is 6-8 weeks, though express options and associated fees are available. For express items, please contact the team.
Made to Measure garments are priced slightly higher than Made to Order and will require a consultation with one of our team. Existing customers can just email us to order a made to measure garment.
